Spun Yarn 58
Autumn Has Appeared!
September has arrived here wet, windy and cold. John's and my Labour Day camping weekend was cut short due to weather, which was such a shame, and the first week of the new month continued much in the same vein. 09aQ9```IX≈ I suppose that full-on knitting season is upon us once again! Much as I lament the passing of summer, I do relish the cooler temperatures and longer evenings. The woolens are coming out of storage!
My Double Knitting Club
We worked hard all summer in order for a big project to go live on September 2nd: my Double Knitting Technique Club is now open and you can join directly from the website! I have uploaded a number of Video Clips (and their accompanying Notes) and conversation is flowing in the DK Technique Club Group on Ravelry. Some of my knitters are already hard at work, planning and creating their own unique designs inspired by what they're learning!
The beauty of this Club is that new members can join at any time and will have immediate access to all of the accumulated clips released earlier. All of the relevant information is stored in Club Member Notebooks and can be accessed at any time. Best of all, joining will give you a lifetime membership to the DK Technique Club! (Please see our limited time offer below if you would like to join in the fun.)
I am home from my annual Adventure Knitting Trip; my intrepid students and I knitted our way down the St. Lawrence River to the Magdalen Islands in Quebec. My sister joined us and we had a blast!
I will be in British Columbia in early October for another teaching trip. My first stop will be in Vancouver and then I will be heading inland to a number of smaller towns. I am looking forward to what promises to be a stunningly beautiful trip. See my Where's Lucy? Workshops Page for all of the details!
More Double-Knit Goodies
I have two new DK patterns for you: the Igloo Hat inspired me to create the accompanying Igloo Cowl and Headband pattern, which will be available for purchase very soon! I think you'll agree that both are ideal for gift knitting. Each pattern has an accompanying video Tutorial series in which I cover the special techniques used in making these garments.
Wishing you great fall knitting and looking forward to chatting with you in the DK Technique Club Group!Happy Stitches,

I am having so much fun filming new videos and writing the Notes for my Double Knitting Technique Club. I can't tell you how excited it makes me to see
how my students respond
to what they're learning and how they are using that knowledge!
I would love for you to join us and so, for one week only, we have reduced the price of the Club from $45 down to $39.95! Tell your friends: the sale runs from September 23 to September 30, 2013.
